Crepe paper coated on one side with natural or synthetic rubber adhesive. The paper and adhesive formulation set the heat, cold and UV resistance and how cleanly the tape removes.
Papers differ in tensile strength, fibre, thickness and crepe elongation, and some are surface-coated for water resistance. Each of these affects where and how the tape can be used.
Adhesive type and coating weight determine adhesion, so the grade must be chosen with care. Residue left on removal is another key factor.
